Aysha Keisler photo

Aysha Keisler, PhD

FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Aysha Keisler is founder and president of Keisler Social & Behavioral Research, a Washington DC-based research firm specializing in social and behavioral research. A trained cognitive neuroscientist, she brings a deep expertise into human behavior that her team applies to understand, predict and shape behaviors to address today’s pressing health, environmental, and social issues. She applies her extensive research experience and knowledge in behavioral science to craft research studies, analyze results, summarize key findings, and present data-driven recommendations.

Prior to Keisler, Aysha held positions at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She was a vice president at Ipsos, one of the largest global market research companies, where she developed and led a Behavioral Science Practice focused on health behaviors. She provides research services for government, nonprofit and corporate clients, including the Department of Defense, Food & Drug Administration, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Ad Council, and more.

Aysha holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Virginia and a BS in Psychology from Virginia Tech.

Erin Eife, MA

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Erin Eife is a research associate at Keisler who applies her expertise in survey development, qualitative methods, data analysis, and writing for the social sciences. At Keisler, Erin has worked with the Office of the Attorney General for DC, the Maryland Department of Health, and the Surgo Foundation.

Erin has a BA in Politics and Sociology from Fairfield University, MA in Social Sciences from University of Chicago and is a PhD candidate in Sociology at University of Illinois at Chicago.

Tom Lynch, BA

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Tom Lynch is a research associate at Keisler who applies his knowledge of business technology to social and behavioral research. He is currently enrolled in the Master’s in Psychological Sciences program at The Catholic University of America.

Tom has a BA in Psychology as well as a BA in Business Technology with a minor in music from the University of Maryland.

Kirsten Michel, MA

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Kirsten Michel is a research associate at Keisler who applies her expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and quantitative research. She also brings experience conducting survey development, literature reviews and teaching and writing for the social sciences. At Keisler, Kirsten has worked with the Office of the Attorney General of DC, the Surgo Foundation, and the Maryland Department of Health.

Kirsten has a BA in Psychology from Villanova University, MA in Psychology from The Catholic University of America, and is a doctoral candidate in the Applied Experimental Psychology program at Catholic University.

Emily Randall, MA

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Emily Randall is a research associate at Keisler Research who applies her expertise in quantitative research, experimental design, survey development, and writing and editing for the social sciences. She is especially skilled at conducting literature reviews and communicating research findings. At Keisler, she has worked on projects in education, behavioral science, communications, public health, and public policy.

Emily has a BA in Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a minor in Spanish and an MA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.

Brian Tuohy photo

Brian Tuohy, PhD, MS

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Brian Tuohy is a research associate at Keisler who applies his research expertise in immigration, health policy, and urban studies and his methodological expertise in qualitative methods, particularly ethnography and in-depth interviewing.

Brian has a BA in Psychology and Religion from the University of Rochester, MS in the Study of Religion from the University of Oxford, and PhD in Sociology from the University of Chicago.
